History

In 1974 Rudolf Diemling and Vinzenz Lukasser founded the Assling Wildlife Park on the Pustertal sun terrace, based on the idea of some experts, who were looking for the economic possibilities of the region.

In 1994 Markus Lukasser took over the management of the Assling Wildlife Park. His declared aim is to maintain a natural species-appropriate animal keeping as well as the extension and renovation of different aviaries. This is required in order to preserve this habitat for the species living here, as some of them even are an endangered species.

The crew of the Assling Wildlife Park as well as of the farm shop are constantly eager to support the well-being of all the guests and animals.
